Welcome

I write songs and record them. Rarely, I sing them to other people. I’ve been a Christian minister since I was 25. I also write and speak about music, faith and disability. At the moment I write for Under the Radar and UK Jazz News. In the past I’ve appeared on or in Drowned in Sound, Clash, Threads, Premier Christianity, at Greenbelt, Liberty Festival and loads of other places. I’ve recorded and toured all over the world and been annoying and frustrating in even more places (sadly). I have been a regular contributor to BBC Radio 4’s Daily Service and Prayer for the Day over the last few years, too.

At the moment, to help with my current work and as I look to the future, I’m training to be a coach. I see there is potentially huge value in people being listened to, nurtured and supported to make decisions for joy, happiness and contentment. Coaching, training as a counsellor and spending nine years as chaplain of Northampton Town FC have all played a big part in getting me to where I am.
